The Scholarship will be awarded up to $40,000 per year, renewable for 4 years. The Florence Sabin Scholar serves as an Ambassador for the School of Medicine.

Rural Track Community Scholarship

Scholarship award is up to $20,000 per year, renewable for 4 years. To be considered the scholar must:

1) Demonstrate a financial need;
2) Be a member of the Rural Track;
3) Demonstrate a commitment to practice Primary Care in rural Colorado.

Joseph Cogen/Presidents Medical Scholarship

The Joseph Cogen/Presidents Medical Scholarship is for a student from a background that is under-represented in medicine and is targeted towards students who without significant financial support would not be able to attend medical school. This is a four-year scholarship of up to $25,000 per year.

To be considered for this scholarship you must:
1) Have financial need; and
2) Have academic excellence and remain in good academic standing.

Colorado Medical Society (CMS) Student Scholarship

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
1) Be a Colorado resident;
2) Have been offered a place in the incoming medical school class;
3) Have background or experience in rural areas with the potential to return to these areas to practice medicine, or have a background or experience in urban areas which are under-served for medical care;
4) Have financial need;
5) Demonstrate academic excellence.
This is a one year scholarship. The CMS scholarship committee will determine the number of recipients and the award amounts.
